As a Technical Project Manager Intern at Focus Bear, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth and efficient delivery of software features. You’ll manage sprint planning, write user stories, and drive execution by coordinating between developers, designers, QA, and leadership. Your work will directly improve delivery velocity and team productivity by streamlining project processes and eliminating blockers.

Duties and Responsibilities

Specific Tasks

‍

• Facilitate sprint planning, retrospectives, and issue grooming using GitHub Projects and Issues.
  
  
• Write clear, INVEST-compliant user stories with detailed acceptance criteria.
  
  
• Follow up with developers and QA to identify blockers and monitor task progress.
  
  
• Write scripts (e.g., in Python or JavaScript) to:
  
  
  
  • Generate velocity and DORA metrics (deployment frequency, lead time, MTTR).
    
    
  • Identify and flag issues that lack proper scope or acceptance criteria.
    
    
• Support QA by drafting test case outlines, managing regression plans, and triaging bugs.
  
  
• Communicate with cross-functional teams to keep everyone aligned on deliverables.
  
  
• Document and automate repetitive project workflows for greater team efficiency.

Team Description

You’ll be part of the operations team and report to the Senior Project Manager. Your day-to-day will involve working with developers, QA engineers, and designers across Focus Bear’s platforms (mobile, web, desktop, backend). Your coordination efforts will be essential to the team’s ability to deliver quality software efficiently.
