As a Website Developer Intern at Focus Bear, you’ll be responsible for enhancing our public-facing website. Your work will help communicate our mission, attract new users, and support marketing campaigns. You’ll develop and refine features that improve performance, accessibility, and user experience—ensuring that our website reflects the quality and values of our product.

Duties and Responsibilities

Specific Tasks

  • Improve and maintain Focus Bear’s website using Webflow.

  • Develop new features and refine existing functionality based on user feedback and marketing needs.

  • Optimise website speed, performance, and loading times across devices.

  • Ensure responsive design compatibility for desktops, tablets, and mobile devices.

  • Collaborate with design and marketing teams to align content with branding and UX guidelines.

  • Apply attention to detail in layouts, typography, animations, and page structure.

  • Maintain clean code and update documentation for implemented changes.

  • Implement features that improve the website’s usability and performance.

  • Ensure design consistency and brand alignment across all site elements.

Team Description

You’ll join the development and design team, working alongside developers, a UX designer, and the marketing team. You’ll contribute to both feature planning and implementation, ensuring the website evolves to meet user and business needs.

Skills Required

  • Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

  • Familiarity with Webflow (preferred but not essential).

  • Understanding of responsive design principles and performance optimisation.

  • Attention to detail in layout, branding, and cross-browser compatibility.

  • Willingness to learn and take initiative on tasks.

Typical Week

  • Collaborate with the design and marketing teams to implement content updates and feature changes.

  • Work on frontend development tasks such as animations, layout fixes, and speed improvements.

  • Conduct QA checks to ensure responsive and bug-free performance.

  • Debug site issues and suggest technical enhancements.

  • Participate in team standups, provide updates, and review website analytics to inform improvements.

Skills Development

You’ll deepen your frontend web development skills, focusing on responsive design, SEO optimisation, and accessibility. You’ll gain hands-on experience with tools like Webflow and contribute to a high-visibility production website.

Internship Nature

This is a practical, project-based internship where your contributions will go live on the Focus Bear website. You’ll support marketing campaigns, shape the brand’s online presence, and help create a site that supports neurodivergent users worldwide.
